How to stay active and healthy despite having hypertension and diabetes?
Posted on Jun 14, 2009 under diabetes | 4 CommentsI am 56 years old, currently on medication for hypertension and diabetes. Still working, but work is rather stressful and thought of resigning. Any advice?
You should start walking immediately. Regular walks, 2-3 miles every day, will go a long way in reducing weight, lowering your BP, and potentially curing you of the effects of diabetes.
Get walking. Walk a lot. Walk as much as you can. You'll be in much better physical shape and in better health within months.

One of the things you need to do to stay healthy at 56 is to make life enhancements to counteract the aging process. Here is a book that is just full of information on exercise, nutrition and how to achieve better overall health. It's a resource book that would take hours and hours to search out on the Internet.
