If you are &quot;insulin resistant,&quot; quantity and proportion is what I believe to be the most important variable. Eating one helping of, say, pasta, is much better than eating 2-3 helpings + a protein rich side. Exercise also plays a dramatic role in glucose control.

Also, calorie counting fails a lot of people for behavorial / habitual / inaccuracy reasons most of the time. Protein/fat/carbs all have different impacts on the body but the &quot;calories in vs. calories out&quot; formula is factually true.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
