Insulin resistance means type 2 diabetes,
Type 2 diabetes:
Results from insulin resistance (a condition in which the body fails to proper use insulin), combined with relative insulin deficiency. This causes a need for abnormally high amounts of insulin and diabetes develops when the beta cells cannot meet this demand.
If you need details about diabetes, its types, complications if untreated, diagnose diabetes, allopath medication, ayurvedic herbs, homeopathy remedies, yoga therapy. Details about insulin pen, glucose-meter and insulin pump are available in the site I have mentioned.

http://www.mendosa.com/gilists.htm this is address for low glycemic index foods. Study it and your life will be a whole lot better.
You can develop type 2 diabetes if:
Your body does not respond properly to insulin, making it difficult for your cells to get sugar from the blood to make energy. This is called insulin resistance.
Your pancreas does not make enough insulin.
Your weight, how much physical activity you get, and your family history all affect the way your body responds to insulin. If you are overweight, get little or no exercise, or have family members with diabetes, you have a greater chance of developing type 2 diabetes.
Use ¼ to ½ teaspoon of cinnamon per day. Add it to your coffee, oatmeal, smoothie, or wherever you find it palatable.
If you already suffer from diabetes, be sure to stay on a regular schedule with your cinnamon usage so that your blood sugar levels don't yo-yo.Use the same amount at the same time every day so that you can get a sense of how cinnamon affects your own personal blood sugar readings.
Use the powdered spice or a cinnamon stick. Cinnamon pills are also available, and can be found easily via an online search. MHCP is water soluble and is not found in cinnamon oil.
Lime and lemon juice delay the digestion of starches as does vinegar. I've found that 2-3 tablespoons of lime or lemon juice reduces my post prandial BG response by 10-20 points. Rick Mendosa's site has a lot of material on acids in the diet. Take a look at http://www.mendosa.com/acidic_foods.htm
So get exercising, lower that carb intake , Good luck My friend
forgot to mention:Depression is not generally listed as a complication of diabetes. However, it can be one of the most common and dangerous complications. The rate of depression in diabetics is much higher than in the general population. Diabetics with major depression have a very high rate of recurrent depressive episodes within the following five years. (Lustman et al 1977) A depressed person may not have the energy or motivation to maintain good diabetic management. Depression is frequently associated with unhealthy appetite changes. The suicidal diabetic adolescent has constant access to potentially lethal doses of insulin.
At this point in time, it is well accepted that psychological factors and psychiatric conditions can affect the course of medical illnesses. There is some suggestion that the stress of depression itself may lead to hyperglycemia in diabetics. The interaction between cardiovascular disorders (such as heart attack and high blood pressure) and depression has been extensively studied. Anxiety and depression can also affect other conditions including irritable bowel syndrome, headache and skin diseases. Treatment of anxiety and depression may lead to a better medical prognosis and well as a better quality of life.
For over three hundred years, physicians have suspected an interaction between the emotions and the course of diabetes mellitus. Studies have examined whether stressful events or psychiatric illness might precipitate either Type I (insulin-dependent) or Type II (Non-insulin dependent) diabetes. So far, study results are not conclusive.

Try a bowel cleansing to take out the toxicity which can lead to not only leaky gut, but also high amounts of acids in your digestive system which can lead to ketoacidosis, which can wreak havoc with your body’s insulin control.
A big caveat: never, ever use Phosphor Milk or similar types of bowel cleansers. As you may have heard, they are linked to kidney destruction or end-stage renal disease. When that happens, you are stuck with dialysis, transplantation, or death. Best to use bowel cleansers that are not related to Phosphor Milk or similar products to detoxify.
You can also detoxify all of the bad acids in the gut which can lead to insulin resistance (especially if you have leaky gut syndrome) by using plain water for about, say, 2 weeks, and avoid all other foods. It will be hard (it will be like a fast) but I think doing this will work wonders on resolving insulin resistance.
